I just have received some late information from a friend ..........actually located in the outback of ..................Australia. She has advised me that the latest of iToys will be coming from a RICH woman's company..........".iGuess"...... with nothing else to do but contradict what iMan builds. However, I told her to send out the latest version of everything she had and I would be willing to give it all a try and give my opinion on the marketability of such in this country.
Did you know that the next big thing coming out is designed by women
(brilliant as they are) and the series of the new high definition technology is
called, wait for it, ........... - uIron......uCook.......uClean, (including bathrooms or
as we say here "toilets"), uWash........., accompanying the items was this note " I hope you will
find time to write some more after you have caught up with the above technology
and put it into practise. We ladies will then have the time to lounge around
and make our bucket list." Well, my reply is simple. WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!! NADA..........NONE.........end of conversation.

It just hit me!
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year, if any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me...

Retirement!!!
The day after I retired, Dec 6,1994 I visualised that all would be vacation, travel, golf, travel, golf and a lot of time travelling and playing golf...................did it work out that way..........I can now say with a rounding NO! if fact I have been on a golf course less than the number of fingers I have on one hand and I would say, to be more exact, three times. I have .........been able to increase......not improve , my handicap by 10 strokes. The one thing that did happen was..........the travelling bit. I have been able to get at least one big trip if not three or four trips in per year and all to places that ......I actually wanted to see. What else if left..............hopefully many more trips but I am getting a little fed up with this standing-by stuff. Now, for those of you that do not know of or understand the ................"""standing-by"""" stuff I will try to explain it to you. Being an ex-airline employee, I happened to retire with a lifelong benefit of being able to travel for a VERY LOW cost amount of money.............some will call FREE, even though it does actually mean that some dollars do exchange hands. For this benefit one must only give up one thing........the idea that when you go to the airport, instead of checking your bags and heading to the lounge for a nice drink before boarding your flight you must suffer the anguish of biting finger nails as to whether or not you will actually be on the aircraft. Thus the " standing-by" effect. Someone else actually has your seat until they do not show up, then it becomes your seat.............or pending whether.....the space or weight reserved for shipping of cargo has been reduced........................ down to the lowest calculation............on whether the Post Office wants to send.......EMPTY mailbags somewhere. All this sounds like a fair solution to going somewhere for a little cost, after all, I'm retired, why am I in a hurry? it's not like I have to be anywhere on time!!! .....................Needless to say, I have been BUMPED and left at the gate to wave "goodbye" to the flight..................I was hoping to be on. I remember once being bumped in Copenhagen, Denmark with the amount of money to equal 3 days maximum of stay at a 2 and 1/2 star hotel. I was left behind for 16 days straight, each night having to find a hotel.....until the next days flight. After "borrowing" money from other employee standbys, we found refuge either at a 24/7 bar, where we would just buy a single "elephant beer" and sip it while taking short naps resting our head on the table.................or seeking a couch to rest on .............in the home of one of our colleagues ........and a chance at a hot shower. It was a great learning experience in life but produced friendships still enjoyed to this date...........if only with the children of some of our passed friends (who, by the way) visit this blog to this day.
The one important thing, I remember, is the great times all of this has granted me in not only the fantastic places I have been to..............but the great friendships that these time have produced. Wouldn't change it for the world. ! ! !

A Christian pastor is asking customers to boycott Starbucks due to the company's support of a bill to legalize gay marriage in Washington state, King 5 News reports.
"Christians are upset with Starbucks for turning against God...Starbucks can follow Satan if they want to," Steven Andrew, and evangelical pastor and president of the USA Christian Ministries in California, said in a statement. "However, pastors are to help Christians. Are you on the Lord's side? Will you help the USA be blessed by God?"
The call for the boycott was released Tuesday, a day prior to the bill's passage in Washington's State Senate Wednesday night, according to Reuters.
USA Ministries is also asking for Christians to stop serving the brand at their church facilities and events.
The Seattle-based coffee chain joined more than 100 other firms in backing the same-sex marriage bill.
Other companies taking a similar position include Nike, Google and Microsoft, Half Moon Bay Patch notes.
If the bill passes in the state house of representatives next week, Washington will become the seventh U.S. state to recognize same-sex unions.
Guess this also means that ALL EVENGELISIST will boycott all Mariner, Seahawk games, Alaska airlines and anywhere else they serve Starbucks.................good ridence............now maybe THEY should give some thought to form their own country Typical...............my God knows better than your God!!!
