AND THAT'S THE WAY IT IS ! ! ! !

Sometimes, I find myself just sitting back, relaxed and thinking of the days gone by. If one could only see into the future. Occasionally, I ask myself, self, what do you consider the greatest days of the past? High School, Military, Work or Retirement? The answer is quite simply..........ALL OF THE ABOVE.................... I remember having great times in all, and some bad times in all.........bottom line though , the good times certainly out numbered the bad and the bad times turned out to be the funny times.

When I first thought about writing this blog of my life, that is exactly how I broke the years up. The pre-teens years, the teen years (high school) military years (a total of 27months) work years (40 +) and now retirement (?)

Some people have written to me and commented about why I am just mixing everything up? Good question! primarily because that's the way my mind works. If I try to do this chronologically, I know I would miss things that I want to write about and to me it would be more difficult to have to go back and try to insert those thoughts into the proper place. I guess that would be the proper way to write a book of this nature. I don't have the time for that. This will be my book to my grand kids. My idea is to make this a reenactment of my life............. cartoon style. I guess the other reason I am doing it this way is because................... I'm just an old man and my brain is becoming worn out. I see something happening NOW ........and I try to compare it with what I had, have or hope to have.............now it becomes my story.

A friend called me one night and she seemed a little offended by one of my post...........about what I, as an old geezer thought the future would be like. It seems she felt that I was somewhat critical about people born outside the USA (which by the way happens to be most of our present day friends ) but living in this country for perhaps 40 years or more but not having any intentions of becoming a citizen of this country. She simply felt that her country offered more in some areas than mine. My question to her was .........very simple........if you have no intention of becoming a citizen of this country, that's fine.........there is no law that says you must but then ............you have no say as to what you think is right or wrong with this country. Also, if you are not happy with the way things are done here............please move........(then again, I can talk that way to her and we remain friends)..........I only ask you to ......read my blog with an open mind, feel free to pass it on to as many people as you wish, try to enjoy the concept I wish to portrait and take into considerations.................that all of these stories are written with the idea that they were..........what I consider to be humorous times of my life and what I conceive the future to be like. I'm not a mind reader but just looking at what is presently happening in the world and thinking about some funny stuff that I and only I hope really doesn't happen but it would be funnier than hell, if it did. I will not make this blog political.........simply because.........what I presently see happening is a complete break down between groups of people and the unwillingness to want to try and understand ..................the other guys views. Having said that. I do want to reserve the right to Polk fun at some political groups.

I mostly enjoy reading the email I get from people that have known me for many of my growing up years and can relate to many of these stories. Happy email is always more fun to read then the email complaining about something in the past or my totally fictitious stories of the future. I can't change the past and only hold one vote for the future.

We can only hope that todays turmoil will become tomorrow's jokes as they did for me.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Since the constitution of the United States lays out the law of citizens of the United States, those people that are not citizens of the United States should not quote the constitution as their protection..
